Job summary

O’Neill and Brennan in Dublin seeks a skilled MEP Estimator to join the team. You will review tender documents, interpret client requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant and equipment.

Candidates with a trade qualification or QS/Mechanical Eng background, strong IT skills (CostX/Buildsoft), and ability to meet deadlines will thrive in this role. The position is based in Dublin with a competitive salary DOE.

Qualifications

MEP Estimator – Dublin

DOE: €90K – €100K

Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Estimator to join their Dublin based team.

Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents to assess technical, commercial, and competitive viability
• Interpret client requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and equipment
• Issue and evaluate material, subcontractor, and equipment enquiries and quotations
• Manage estimating systems, labour rates, prime cost data, and project preliminaries
• Prepare and consolidate final tender submissions for management approval with the Commercial team
• Support post-tender activities, procurement coordination, and site surveys as required

Qualifications:

• A trade qualification, Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering background is desirable.
• In depth knowledge of building regulations and standards.
• Ability to effectively manage estimating process and associated schedules to required deadlines.
• Strong I.T skills are essential, including with packages such as CostX or Buildsoft.
• Ability to working in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
