Job summary

Cooley Credit Union Ltd is seeking a frontline Member Services Officer to join our team across our Cooley, Carlingford and Omeath offices. The role focuses on member service, account handling and inquiries.

You will process transactions, open accounts, assist with loans and respond to member questions by phone, email or in person, while ensuring AML and data protection compliance. We offer training, development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Credit Union or financial services environment preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and IT skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Member Services Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week

Reporting to: Manager

Cooley Credit Union Ltd is a community Credit Union with over 4,000 members in the Cooley peninsula where it operates three offices in Cooley, Carlingford and Omeath. We are currently recruiting a frontline Member Services Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out a range of member service duties which will contribute to the effective operation of the Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities

Process member transactions and maintain accurate records.

Open new accounts and assist with loan applications and payments.

Respond to member enquiries by phone, email and in person.

Promote Credit Union products and services.

Support administrative, operational, marketing and compliance activities.

Adhere to AML, Data Protection and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience

Experience in a Credit Union or financial services environment preferred.

Strong customer service, communication and IT skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

QFA/APA qualification desirable; training and support will be provided where required.
