Job summary

Gurranabraher Credit Union in Cork City is seeking an experienced Member Services Officer to deliver excellent service to our members. The role involves assisting with day-to-day transactions, loan applications and queries, at the front counter and member service hub.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification: Leaving Certificate or equivalent, APA (Loans). QFA preferred.
Previous significant experience in a member services or counter services role within a credit union, bank or similar financial services environment.
Experience in processing transactions, handling cash and balancing cash accurately.
Strong numeracy and IT skills, together with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to excellent member service and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

You will assist members with their day-to-day transactions, loan applications and queries, while supporting our front- and back-office operations.
Provide a professional, helpful and efficient service to members at the front counter and in the member service hub.
Process transactions on the Credit Union system, handle cash and accurately balance your cash position.
Deal with loan applications and drawdowns.
Respond to member queries and carry out other front- and back-office tasks.
