Job summary

The role emphasizes understanding both Chinese and Western media, story identification, rapid outreach, and delivering compelling coverage for Web Summit's events

Qualifications

• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Experience in PR/media relations is required.
• Ability to identify compelling stories for Chinese audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with Chinese press and media outlets.
• Coordinate media outreach for Web Summit speakers, partners and initiatives.
• Monitor coverage and report results to the communications team.

You'd support Web Summit’s media and communications team in building relationships withChinese journalists and media organisations, particularly across Mainland China, HongKong, Taiwan and other Chinese-speaking markets. The ideal candidate is a bilingual PR/media professional who understands both Chinese andWestern media, can build relationships with journalists, identify stories that will resonate withChinese audiences, and turn Web Summit's speakers, partners, startups and technologystories into coverage.
