Job summary

Synergy Recruitment Partners is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client in Co. Cavan. You will design distribution transformers to customer specs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of delivery.

The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification, experience with CREO and SAP, and a willingness to work on-site with travel as required. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with 3D design software (e.g., CREO) and MS Office.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with quality conformance standards.
• SAP experience and a full clean driving license are preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications, detailed drawings, and documentation for customers and the factory floor.
• Direct and coordinate prototype manufacturing and liaise with R&D to improve design efficiencies.
• Optimize product designs to meet specific customer requirements.
