Mechanical Design Engineer (Senior) is needed to join a well-established and progressive engineering mechanical and electrical consultancy in their Dublin office. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead a team of passionate and experienced engineers. This role offers projects in the commercial, healthcare, residential and education sectors.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is essential.
• Design of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical containment.
• Performing calculations for system sizing, load analysis, and energy efficiency.
• Preparation of detailed mechanical design drawings (ductwork, piping layouts, equipment installation, etc.).
• Reviewing and verifying mechanical drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Conducting site visits, liaising with clients, and coordinating with mechanical contractors.
• Estimating project costs, including completed and additional works as necessary.

Requirements

• The successful Mechanical Engineer will have a degree qualification in Building Services
• 4+ years of Mechanical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit
• Proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.
• Excel at working on several projects simultaneously and show the ability to prioritise and plan work.
• Commercial sector knowledge/experience.
• Building Information Modelling (BIM) experience will be advantageous.
