Job summary

Synergy Recruitment Partners is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client in Co. Cavan. You will design distribution transformers to customer specs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of delivery.

The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification, experience with CREO and SAP, and a willingness to work on-site with travel as required. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency with 3D design software (e.g., CREO) and MS Office.
Experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with quality conformance standards.
SAP experience and a full clean driving license are preferred.
Willingness to work on-site and travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

Prepare technical specifications, detailed drawings, and documentation for customers and the factory floor.
Direct and coordinate prototype manufacturing and liaise with R&D to improve design efficiencies.
Optimize product designs to meet specific customer requirements.
Work directly with production teams to ensure all design specifications are met.
