We are seeking to appoint a Material Handler to assist with organising the arrival, storage, issue and recording of material movements to and from a high-volume production floor. The Material Handler will also assist as required with the maintenance of inventory and traceability records
To coordinate, control and expedite the flow of materials to/from the production floor in line with production and shipping schedules/priorities
Accurately maintain inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and by recording the location and movement of all inventory as required; completing and maintaining all related documentation as required for goods inward/outward. Reconciliation of delivery notes with invoices and quantities. Support on cycle counts
Operation of heavy goods machinery
Load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using appropriate equipment (including counterbalance forklift, reach truck and electric pallet trucks) as required in compliance with health and safety standards
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; using equipment as appropriate and in a safe manner, highlighting maintenance issues, etc. Ensure all waste is segregated and handled per company standards and maintain high standards of housekeeping in work area, ensuring that it is kept clean and tidy at all times. Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures, promoting a safe workplace for all.

Previous relevant experience working in a warehouse environment
Ability to work a 4 cycle shift roster/pattern
Hold a valid forklift licence
Proficient in the operation of power tools, hand tools and machinery
Forklift licence
Experience Previous experience on ERP systems
Proficiency in MS Office tools
Ability to coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders
Ability to multitask
Strong communication skills
Strong health & safety awareness
Previous relevant material handling/warehousing experience
A certificate in health & safety an advantage
Equipment operation, digital literacy, inventory management, shipping/receiving & order picking
Safety first mindset, regulatory understanding and adherence, equipment maintenance
Attention to detail, dependability, accuracy, adaptability and collaboration
Continuous movement during shifts involving standing, walking and bending. Material manipulation – moving, lifting and positioning loads up to designated weight limits using mechanical assistance when required. Spatial navigation – manoeuvring equipment & loads precisely through narrow aisles and high traffic zones.
