Job summary

ICT Medical Devices is seeking a Material Handler to manage the receipt, storage and distribution of materials supporting manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely material availability, maintains inventory records and upholds quality and safety standards across the site.

You will handle deliveries, update ERP against POs, organise storage areas, and assist production with kanban and material requests, while adhering to SOPs and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have a current clean driving licence.
• Forklift license is advantageous but can be provided/trained.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, accept and put away deliveries to ICT Medical Devices.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update ERP on receipt against POs.
• Organise storage areas and yard facilities for easy access and housekeeping.
• Kit materials for production lines and support Kanban systems.
• Liaise with production leads and other functions to meet service levels.
• Conduct cycle counts and publish results.
• Adhere to SOPs and quality requirements for materials handling.

Job description

Job Purpose

At ICT Medical Devices, we design, prototype, and manufacture innovative catheter-based medical device technology.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, control, and distribution of materials to support manufacturing operations. The Material Handler will maintain accurate inventory records, ensure timely material availability, and uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards to support the successful delivery of products at ICT Medical Devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling, verification, acceptance and put-away/distribution of all deliveries to ICT Medical Devices.
• Accurate receipt/update of deliveries against Purchase Orders to ERP system, with consequent inventory update.
• Daily organisation of the materials stored in storage facilities and external yard areas, incl. ongoing housekeeping/maintenance of these areas.
• Picking and kitting of materials for delivery to the production areas, servicing of internal production line kanban systems, and responding to material requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate/Liaise with Production Team Leads / Project Leads and other Functions and deliver services to all manufacturing areas based on service level agreements.
• Perform materials cycle-counting as required, recording and publishing results.
• Adhere to all procedures /SOP’s within the company.
• Adhere to all Company Quality requirements in relation to materials handling, materials preservation or documentation.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Preferred Qualifications And Education

• Minimum of Leaving Certificate required or equivalent.

Preferred Experience, Skills Competencies

• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage.
• Must be proficient in word, excel and outlook.
• Have a current clean driving license.
• Current forklift license is a distinct advantage but training can be provided.
• Flexible working hours: Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
• Self-motivated, working with limited supervision.
• Ability to prioritise, organise and multitask to perform daily workload cross- functionally.
