Job summary

Uniting Holding in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, seeks a Moulding Operator on a full-time, 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights). You will ensure parts meet customer standards by visual inspection and by using measuring devices, recording data, and packing to specification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts visually and with measuring devices to ensure customer standards are met.
• Record measurements, alert deviations, and verify counts and packaging per specification.
• Complete daily machine reports: shot counts, scrap, cycle time and production.
• Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and enter it into the system.
• Observe safety procedures and maintain ISO9001:2000, ISO13485 and ISO14001 documentation.

Purpose of the job

Ensures the quality of the parts produced are to customer standards by inspecting parts visually and through measuring devices; ensures the quantity of parts produced are packed accordingly and to a high standard, completes documentation throughout the shift in line with GDocP.

Key responsibilities

Area of responsibility1:

Ensures the quality of the parts produced by inspecting parts visually and through measuring devices; records measurement information and alerts appropriate personnel of any deviations from the customer specification or part print and checks part counts by weighing them; sets scale and verifies scale accuracy

Area of responsibility2:

Indicates the status of the part (Accept/Reject) according to proper procedure and specifications; packages parts per customer specification and places finished product in correct location.

Area of responsibility3:

Completes machine report on a daily basis; records machine shot counts, press scrap, machine cycle time and daily production

Area of responsibility4:

Uses and understands statistical process control; monitors the quality of the product through Statistical Process Control (SPC), including the input of data into the computer

Area of responsibility5:

Adhere to all safety precautions with machinery, tools, and devices, including use of relevant personal protective equipment (e.g. gown, cap, safety shoes, etc.) and maintains methods/procedures and all supporting documentation to meet the requirements of Quality Systems ISO9001:2000, ISO13485 and Environmental Management Systems ISO14001

Basic salary and complementary and variable pay components

Basic salary range:

€29,970.63

Complementary and variable pay components:

€36,863.88 inclusive of shift & Sunday premium.
