Job summary

Next Generation Recruitment is seeking a Bioprocess Material Associate for a biotech facility in Swords, Dublin. You will manage warehouse and material handling processes to ensure accurate receiving, sampling and dispensing in a GMP environment.

Working with Manufacturing, Quality and MS&T, you will use SAP/COMET, MES and LIMS to support inventory, dispensing and sampling while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse and materials handling within GMP-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of raw-material receiving, sampling and dispensing processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse and material management activities in a GMP environment.
  • Receive, inspect, identify, and put away incoming materials.
  • Weigh and dispense raw materials in controlled dispensing areas.
  • Support raw-material sampling and, where required, spectroscopy testing.
  • Prepare materials for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Distribute materials to Manufacturing, Laboratories and internal customers.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored and compliant with SOPs.

Step Into the Heart of Biotech Manufacturing Through Materials & Warehouse Operations

Bioprocess Material Associate

What if your warehouse and materials experience could take you into a highly regulated biotech manufacturing environment - while giving you hands-on exposure to GMP operations, pharmaceutical dispensing, raw-material management and advanced warehouse systems?

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing pharmaceutical manufacturing team supporting operations at a biotech facility in Swords, Dublin .

Working alongside experienced Warehouse, Manufacturing, Quality and technical professionals, you'll play an important role in ensuring the right materials are received, sampled, dispensed, stored and supplied to manufacturing safely, accurately and in accordance with GMP requirements.

What you'll achieve (and why it matters)
  • Support day-to-day warehouse and material management activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Receive incoming materials and complete goods receipt, identification, inspection and put-away activities.
  • Handle and move raw materials safely in accordance with approved procedures and GMP requirements.
  • Support raw-material sampling , including Raman RapID spectroscopy testing where required.
  • Perform raw-material weighing and dispensing activities within controlled dispensing areas.
  • Pick and prepare materials required for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Support the on-site distribution of materials to Manufacturing, Laboratories, MS&T and other internal customers .
  • Support the movement and shipping of drug substance and other materials.
  • Operate specialist warehouse and material-handling equipment, including reach trucks, VNA trucks and motorised pallet trucks .
  • Operate dispensing equipment including downflow booths, scales, drum tippers and drum-handling equipment .
  • Use SAP/COMET, MES and LIMS systems to support inventory, dispensing and sampling activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, material status and transaction records.
  • Ensure materials are correctly labelled, stored and handled throughout the warehouse and dispensing process.
  • Follow approved SOPs, GMP requirements, safety procedures and site-specific operating practices .
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and compliance across warehouse and dispensing areas.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, Laboratory, MS&T and other cross-functional teams to ensure reliable material supply.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, scheduling, cost efficiency and material-handling processes .
  • Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and dispensing operations.
  • Support the review and updating of warehouse and dispensary procedures when required.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and reliable pharmaceutical supply .
Your edge (desired, not required)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, materials, logistics, manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations role.
  • Previous experience working within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology or similarly controlled environment .
  • Experience with raw-material dispensing, weighing or pharmaceutical dispensary operations .
  • Experience handling materials used in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience with reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, VNA trucks or motorised pallet trucks .
  • Relevant forklift or material-handling training/certification.
  • Experience operating downflow booths, weighing scales, drum movers or other specialist material-handling equipment .
  • Experience with SAP or warehouse management systems .
  • Exposure to MES and/or LIMS .
  • Experience with goods receipt, inventory management, put-away, picking, material distribution or shipping.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a regulated environment .
  • Understanding of GMP documentation, SOPs and controlled processes.
  • Experience with raw-material sampling or laboratory-facing warehouse activities.
  • Knowledge or experience of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies .
  • Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach to work.
  • Comfortable performing physically active warehouse duties, including lifting up to approximately 50 lbs / 23 kg .
  • Comfortable working in a fully onsite environment in Swords, Dublin .
