Qualifications

• 3-5 years working with SAP master data or enterprise data environments.

Responsibilities

• Governance & Stewardship: Define standards with data/process owners; embed governance into operations; support GDPR and audits.
• SAP Data Management & Analysis: Analyse SAP master data for quality issues; identify trends and improvements.
• Data Quality & Controls: Build data quality controls, validation rules and KPIs; support data migration and SAP projects.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Use SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI and Excel for governance reporting.

Master Data Governance Analyst

About the Role

Seeking a technically astute, analytically-minded Master Data Governance Analyst to strengthen and maintain its master data governance framework across a complex SAP landscape. You'll act as a trusted partner to business and IT stakeholders, driving adoption of governance standards, data ownership and stewardship practices that support the wider transformation agenda.

This role suits someone who enjoys large, complex datasets, understands how data underpins business processes, and is genuinely passionate about data quality, ownership and governance.

What You'll Do

• Governance & Stewardship: Support and continuously improve the Master Data Governance strategy; collaborate with data/process owners and SMEs to define standards and policies; embed governance into day-to-day operations; support GDPR and audit compliance.
• SAP Data Management & Analysis: Analyse SAP master data for quality issues, duplicates and inconsistencies; perform root cause analysis (process, system, user or upstream); identify trends and improvement opportunities across SAP and connected systems.
• Data Quality & Controls: Build and maintain data quality controls, validation rules and exception reporting; monitor governance KPIs; support data migration, transformation and SAP enhancement projects.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Use SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI and Excel for governance reporting; identify process improvement opportunities.

Essential Experience

• 3-5 years working with SAP master data or enterprise data environments
• Strong experience analysing, validating and maintaining large, complex datasets
• Track record resolving data quality issues via analysis, profiling and root cause investigation
• Strong grasp of data governance principles, ownership and stewardship practices
• Advanced Excel and reporting/analytical tool experience
• Ability to read business processes and their impact on data quality
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience within a formal MDM or Data Governance framework
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, data migration or ERP transformation programmes
• SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI or similar
• Experience building data quality dashboards/governance reporting
