Job summary

Realtime Recruitment in Ireland is seeking an experienced Data Governance professional at contributor level, with 5+ years of relevant experience working within Insurance, finance; sensitive data, or a closely related data-management environment.

The ideal candidate will combine strong data governance knowledge with a practical understanding of financial and accounting processes, ideally gained within a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' professional experience in data governance, data management, data quality, data stewardship, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working specifically within a finance data / financial data environment.
• Good awareness and understanding of financial and accounting practices, terminology, processes, and data.
• Experience operating within a regulated industry (banking, financial services, insurance, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials / Oracle Finance or closely related Oracle financial-data environments.
• Understanding of data governance principles: ownership, quality, standards, metadata, lineage, controls, and stewardship.
• Comfortable working with business and technical stakeholders to understand, define, document, and improve financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to investigate data issues and root causes.
• Able to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating across Finance, Data, Technology, Risk, Compliance
