This pivotal role bridges business strategy and technical reporting, focusing on GDPR compliance, data protection, and insightful analytics to support commercial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Data Management, Data Governance, BI, or Analytics Leadership.
• Hands-on understanding of CRM systems, BI platforms (e.g., Power BI/Tableau), data integration/ETL, and master data management.
• Solid grasp of GDPR, access controls, and information governance principles.
• Proven ability to manage technical staff and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Governance & Metric Definition: Establish and maintain the data dictionary, data lineage, and single source of truth for commercial/marketing reporting.
• Data Quality & Integrations: Set validation rules across CRM and marketing systems; define reporting data flows with IT.
• BI & Decision Support: Manage the enterprise dashboard environment and provide analytical insights for decision-making.
• Data Protection & Compliance: Ensure GDPR alignment, least-privilege access, data retention policies, and AI usage policies.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Data Specialist building dashboards and data models.

Role Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Data Manager to serve as the single authority for commercial and marketing data across the group. Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing, you will lead data governance, ensure high data quality, own the BI environment, and line manage a dedicated Data Specialist.

This is a pivotal role bridging business strategy, data integrity, AI/GDPR compliance, and technical reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Governance & Metric Definition: Establish and maintain the official data dictionary, data lineage, and single source of truth for all commercial/marketing reporting.
• Data Quality & Integrations: Set proactive validation rules across CRM and marketing systems to prevent data errors; specify reporting data flows alongside IT.
• BI & Decision Support: Manage the enterprise dashboard environment, retire redundant reports, and provide evidence-based analytical insights for commercial decision-making.
• Data Protection & Compliance: Ensure full alignment with GDPR, least-privilege access models, functional data retention schedules, and company AI usage policies.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and prioritize tasks for the Data Specialist responsible for building dashboards and underlying data models.
