Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with CRM platforms, dashboards, and data warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data architecture concepts.

Overview

Our client is a well-established international organisation seeking an experienced Data Manager to take ownership of commercial and marketing data governance, reporting standards, and data quality across the business. Reporting into senior leadership, this role will be responsible for establishing a single trusted source of data, ensuring consistency of reporting, and enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple business functions. The successful candidate will lead the governance, quality, integrity, and management of business data while overseeing reporting environments, data integration processes, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with technical reporting resources, they will ensure all business metrics are clearly defined, documented, and consistently applied throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Quality

• Define, document, and govern commercial and marketing reporting metrics, ensuring consistency, transparency, and stakeholder alignment.
• Maintain a single authoritative source of business data, including ownership, lineage, and approved definitions.
• Establish and monitor data quality standards across key business systems and datasets.
• Design and implement validation processes to improve data accuracy at source.
• Identify, monitor, and resolve issues relating to data completeness, consistency, duplication, and reliability.
• Ensure all reporting outputs clearly reference data sources, definitions, and refresh dates.
• Own processes for managing and correcting reporting inaccuracies when identified.

Reporting & Analytics

• Oversee reporting, dashboard, and management information environments used across the organisation.
• Manage data integration and reporting workflows, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery of business insights.
• Provide high-quality analysis and evidence-based recommendations to support commercial decision making.
• Clearly communicate methodologies, assumptions, and confidence levels behind analytical findings.
• Review existing reporting frameworks and retire redundant or low-value reports where appropriate.

Data Architecture & Systems

• Define and maintain reporting data flows between business systems and platforms.
• Document data lineage, transformation logic, dependencies, and reporting schedules.
• Assess data implications associated with new technologies, platforms, and business systems.
• Support ongoing enhancement of reporting and analytics capabilities across the organisation.

Leadership & Compliance

• Lead and develop data and reporting resources, ensuring quality standards and delivery expectations are achieved.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple business functions.
• Ensure appropriate data governance, access controls, retention policies, and regulatory compliance measures are maintained.
• Support organisational requirements relating to data protection, information governance, and responsible use of AI technologies.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Reporting leadership roles.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, reporting standards, and KPI definitions.
• Strong understanding of data quality management, master data principles, reporting controls, and data lineage.
• Experience working with CRM platforms, business reporting tools, dashboards, and data warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and broader data architecture concepts.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Previous experience mentoring, managing, or developing analytical and technical team members.
• Understanding of GDPR, data protection, information governance, and access management principles.
