Job summary

Celestica Galway is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician to support highly automated production in a regulated environment. This role focuses on maintaining PLC programs, robotics, electrical systems, and networked factory automation to maximize equipment efficiency.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot high-speed assembly machines, install and calibrate automation hardware, and contribute to continuous improvement projects within a 8am-8pm shift pattern on Monday to Wednesday and

Qualifications

  • Ideally Level 6 Cert./Diploma in Electrical & Automation Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–4+ years experience as Automation Technician or equivalent.
  • Experience with highly automated high-speed assembly lines and PLCs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot high-speed automated assembly machines.
  • Sustain machine PLC programs and remote I/O networks.
  • Calibrate and maintain robots; troubleshoot electrical components.
  • Install and maintain bar code scanning equipment and LAN/WAN networks.
  • Provide Final Third Level technical support and document issue resolutions.
  • Contribute to efficiency improvement through code upgrades and projects.
