Job summary
Celestica Galway is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician to support highly automated production in a regulated environment. This role focuses on maintaining PLC programs, robotics, electrical systems, and networked factory automation to maximize equipment efficiency.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot high-speed assembly machines, install and calibrate automation hardware, and contribute to continuous improvement projects within a 8am-8pm shift pattern on Monday to Wednesday and
Qualifications
- Ideally Level 6 Cert./Diploma in Electrical & Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–4+ years experience as Automation Technician or equivalent.
- Experience with highly automated high-speed assembly lines and PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot high-speed automated assembly machines.
- Sustain machine PLC programs and remote I/O networks.
- Calibrate and maintain robots; troubleshoot electrical components.
- Install and maintain bar code scanning equipment and LAN/WAN networks.
- Provide Final Third Level technical support and document issue resolutions.
- Contribute to efficiency improvement through code upgrades and projects.
