Job summary
Sterling Engineering Ltd - Ireland & Europe is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing organisation in Ireland. This permanent role operates in a fast-paced, automated production environment, reporting to the Engineering Manager and focusing on maintaining and improving automated equipment to maximise availability.
You will perform planned, preventive and reactive maintenance, calibrate production equipment, troubleshoot PLC-based faults, and collaborate with
Qualifications
- Diploma or trade qualification in Industrial Automation or related engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with special-purpose automated equipment and pick-and-place systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs and motor controllers.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventive and reactive maintenance on automated equipment.
- Diagnose faults using PLCs and diagnostic tools.
- Calibrate production and process equipment.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
