Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer in Co. Laois to drive automation improvements and equipment developments across manufacturing operations.

You will support daily production, lead NPI/continuous improvement projects and contribute to Lean initiatives, standard work and document control. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Automation or Mechanical Engineering, strong CAD/3D skills, experience with PLCs, WINDCHILL and SAP, and solid data analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with automation design, PLC programming and electrical testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of ISO, RoHS, REACH and manufacturing standards.
  • Strong analytical and data-handling skills; experience with ERP systems and Lean methods.

Responsibilities

  • Support and improve daily manufacturing operations to hit site KPIs and FPY.
  • Lead process and equipment development for new product introduction and improvements.
  • Drive Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives including SMED and standard work.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process standards and training materials.
  • Support ERP and manufacturing systems, analyse KPI data and ensure QHSE compliance.
