Job summary

Noel Group is hiring an Automation Engineer for a manufacturing client based in Co Meath, Ireland. You will design and implement automation solutions across manufacturing equipment and collaborate with project managers to streamline operations.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing automation and a degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Automation. You will travel to other manufacturing sites in Europe as needed, and you will work with maintenance teams to resolve

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong communication in English (written and spoken).
• Experience design and implementation of automation solutions.
• Knowledge of PLC programming/SCADA or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to fix issues arising from automation changes.
• Create and maintain documentation including manuals, schematics, and SOPs.
• Travel to other manufacturing sites in Europe as required.
• Collaborate with project managers to optimize automation processes.

In this role you will work closely with project managers to help automate systems used across manufacturing.

• Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Automation or similar
• 3+ years of automation with the manufacturing industry
• Strong communication in English (written and spoken)
• Capability in PLC programming / SCADA or similar
