Job summary

European Tech Recruit seeks an Automation Engineer for a leading Cork manufacturing site. You will support, maintain and improve automation systems across the site and work with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams to drive improvements.

The role requires strong PLC experience (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley or Siemens), SCADA/HMI knowledge, and a proven track record in commissioning and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. Independent work and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with PLC systems (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley or Siemens).
• Experience with SCADA and HMI and industrial control systems.
• Strong commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

I'm recruiting for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a leading manufacturing site in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to work on automation projects, support production systems and drive continuous improvement within a modern manufacturing environment.

The Role

As an Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving automation systems across the site.
