Hanley Energy is a leading energy solutions provider with offices in Ireland and abroad. We are seeking a Management Accountant (Temporary Position) to join the finance team during a fixed-term ERP implementation.

You will support month-end close, costings, variance analyses, and performance reporting across manufacturing sites, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role requires strong accounting qualifications and ERP experience, particularly SAP Business One.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified with 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing industry role.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is required.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP Business One experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Support the month-end four-day close process.
• Support intercompany accounting, including preparation and reconciliation of intercompany recharges and resolution of discrepancies.
• Review and maintain up-to-date product costs.
• Prepare cost variance analysis for individual projects and review impact of cost movements on forecasts.
• Ensure job costings are accurate and WIP remains at an acceptable level.
• Inventory – track and record inventory movement monthly, with accurate valuation and provisions.
• Meet tight deadlines in a busy environment and handle day-to-day queries.
• Develop performance reports and provide feedback to the Irish manufacturing sites.
• Carry out margin analysis and explain variances to expected costs.
• Compare actual results to budget and explain variances.

Management Accountant (Temporary Position)

Hanley Energy has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Accountant to join a busy finance team on a fixed term contract during the implementation phase of a new ERP system. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a position where you will work in collaboration with the Head of Finance and the wider finance department. The key objective of the role is to support the existing management accounting team with month-end accounting and provide insights into the commercial and manufacturing performance of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Support the month-end four-day close process
• Support intercompany accounting process, including the preparation and reconciliation of intercompany recharges and resolution of discrepancies
• Review and maintain up to date product costs
• Prepare cost variance analysis for individual projects and review of the impact cost movements have on the forecasted figures
• Ensure job costings are accurate and WIP remains at an acceptable level
• Inventory – track and record inventory movement monthly, accurate valuation of inventory and associated provisions
• Meet tight deadlines in a busy environment and manage day to day queries
• Develop performance reports and provide feedback and support to the four Irish manufacturing sites
• Carry out detailed margin analysis, identify and explain variances to expected costs.
• Compare actual results to budget and provide commentary to explain variances.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified - 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing industry role.
• Previous experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of ERP system is essential. SAP Business one experience would be a strong advantage.
• Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and good judgement showing logical decision making and ability to take a hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes.
• Highly organised and efficient with ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are met.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
