Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a commercially minded qualified accountant for a hands-on role spanning month-end, reporting, budgeting and balance sheet control across multiple cost centres. Hybrid working model in North Dublin with close collaboration to stakeholders to drive performance and continuous improvement.

You'll lead journals, P&L and reconciliations, deliver management packs, analyse variances, and support audits and ERP enhancements while ensuring rigorous financial controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA and 4+ years PQE.
• Strong experience in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Good understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Experience with ERP systems and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Audit experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, distribution or supply chain would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close across multiple cost centres, including journals, P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior management.
• Analyse financial performance, identifying variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Deliver revenue and margin analysis by business unit and customer.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare regular P&L, balance sheet and working capital forecasts.
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing clear commentary and insight.
• Oversee stock reporting and reconciliations and support working capital management.
• Prepare regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and reporting efficiencies.
• Support ERP and finance technology development and implementation.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, customers and suppliers to monitor KPIs and improve business performance.

• Strong experience in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent Excel skills.
