To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Technical Support Engineer located in Dundalk, Ireland .
Role Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager (LV), the Technical Support Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team acting as the primary POC for production and site support requests ordering material or escalating where necessary.
- Coordinating with the Technical Support Engineer (Electrical), ensuring alignment on any deliverables and timelines.
- Assemble document packages and develop drawing sets, MOP’s and BOM’s for review.
- Escalating support requests to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Supply Chain or compliance team as needed.
- Communicate progress on design plans and design deliverables to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager (LV).
- Driving the development and continuous improvement of the processes and controls related to the Engineering support function.
Requirements:
- Be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a highly related Discipline with minimum 3 year's experience in similar environment.
- Previous experience of Mechanical Design of Low Voltage equipment, such as power distribution, packaged substations or switchgear, would be considered advantageous, as would the knowledge & understanding of other electrical systems.
- Demonstrated success working to prescribed standards.
- Experience with Solid Works or similar CAD software.
- Have Clear and effective written/verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on documenting details and sharp eye for detail.
- A willingness to learn how to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Fluent English language skills and eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
- Willingness to travel if required.
Experience & Skills:
- Strong technical skills and proven experience in Mechanical & Electrical product engineering.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and test procedures.
- Advanced CAD skills.
- Design for Manufacturing/Design for Assembly.
