Contract Management Accountant – Manufacturing & ERP

Job summary

Hanley Energy is a leading energy solutions provider with offices in Ireland and abroad. We are seeking a Management Accountant (Temporary Position) to join the finance team during a fixed-term ERP implementation.

You will support month-end close, costings, variance analyses, and performance reporting across manufacturing sites, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role requires strong accounting qualifications and ERP experience, particularly SAP Business One.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified with 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing industry role.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is required.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP Business One experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end four-day close process.
• Support intercompany accounting, including preparation and reconciliation of intercompany recharges and resolution of discrepancies.
• Review and maintain up-to-date product costs.
• Prepare cost variance analysis for individual projects and review impact of cost movements on forecasts.
• Ensure job costings are accurate and WIP remains at an acceptable level.
• Inventory – track and record inventory movement monthly, with accurate valuation and provisions.
• Meet tight deadlines in a busy environment and handle day-to-day queries.
• Develop performance reports and provide feedback to the Irish manufacturing sites.
• Carry out margin analysis and explain variances to expected costs.
• Compare actual results to budget and explain variances.
