Job summary

Wallace Myers International seeks an Evening Shift Maintenance Technician for a busy Meath site. You will own maintenance across plant and equipment, balancing planned activity with responsive fixes and upgrades in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, drive reliability improvements, and participate in installations with a hands-on approach while maintaining rigorous site safety and CMMS records.

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical and/or electrical qualification.
• At least 3 years' maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Confident fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with CMMS and planned maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a balanced mix of planned and breakdown maintenance across production plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Investigate recurring issues and implement lasting fixes rather than quick patches.
• Contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Be hands-on with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Work safely at all times and in line with site compliance standards.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and support the site's CMMS.

Overview We're recruiting an Evening Shift Maintenance Technician for a well-established, multi-national manufacturing operation in Co. Meath that has recently expanded onto a new site. This is a standalone, hands-on role at the heart of keeping plant, machinery, and site assets running at their best in a fast-paced production environment. You'll take ownership of maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site's equipment, working closely with site leadership. The role blends day-to-day troubleshooting with real involvement in upgrades, installations, and optimisation projects as the site continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a balanced mix of planned and breakdown maintenance across production plant and equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly to keep downtime to a minimum
• Investigate recurring issues and put lasting fixes in place rather than quick patches
• Contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Get hands-on with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Work safely at all times and in line with site compliance standards
• Keep maintenance records up to date and support the site's CMMS

Criteria

• A recognised mechanical and/or electrical qualification
• At least 3 years' maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment

• Able to work independently and take ownership on a shift-based role
• A strong problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail
