Amden Group Ltd. seeks a Site Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, reliability, and performance of plant and assets at the Moynalty site. You will lead preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and drive improvements to maximise uptime and efficiency.
You will coordinate capital projects, install and commission new equipment, and ensure safety compliance, quality, and accurate record-keeping while working with a team on a fast-paced site.
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for aSite Maintenance Technician. This role will beresponsible for overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and performance of all plant, machinery, and operational assets at our Moynalty site. The role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of the facility, supporting the business in consistently achieving its operational objectives. Key responsibilities include the maintenance and optimisation of existing assets, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring asset reliability and compliance. The Site Maintenance Technician will also lead and coordinate the delivery of capital projects and new asset installations, managing all aspects of project execution to support the site's ongoing development and operational excellence.
Lead effective planned preventative maintenance activities, developing and optimising programmes to maximise machine uptime. Perform routine inspections on production equipment and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions following breakdowns. Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and maintenance practices. Commit to and support continuous improvement activities to constantly improve business operations through efficiencies and increased productivity. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or process-related issues in a timely manner. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Follow permit-to-work systems and lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure all work is completed safely and risk assessments are followed. Maintain good housekeeping standards within workshops and plant areas. Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
Complete and maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, operating manuals and work orders accurately. Record breakdown information and maintenance activities within the site's maintenance management system. Assist with maintaining spare parts inventories where required.
Relevant qualification or trade certificate in mechanical and electrical engineering. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical, production, or maintenance role (experience in feed or food manufacturing would be an advantage, but not essential). Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of relevant CMMS and Machine OEE systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience of mechanical fault finding and repair. Understanding of production processes, safety practices, and quality assurance standards. Knowledge of factories, modern production and operations processes and equipment, automation to meet modern manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call, as required. Access to your own transport will be a requirement.
