Job summary

Force in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a busy manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation with minimal downtime.

Key duties include preventative maintenance, fault finding, and working with production and engineering teams. A relevant mechanical/engineering qualification or equivalent experience is required, with strong safety focus and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with pumps, motors, valves and general mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, valves and other plant machinery.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes of issues.
• Support equipment installation, upgrades and modifications.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve maintenance issues.
• Complete maintenance records and update the CMMS.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and per procedures.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a busy manufacturing facility in Mullingar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and site services, ensuring the plant operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, valves and other plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify the root cause of equipment issues.
• Support equipment installation, upgrades and modifications.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve maintenance issues.
• Complete maintenance records and update the maintenance management system.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Follow all Health & Safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant mechanical/engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
