Job summary

The Hardiman Hotel in Galway seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and safeguard historic fabric while ensuring safety and guest comfort.

You will oversee preventive and reactive maintenance, coordinate external contractors, and drive continuous improvement to support seamless operations in a landmark four‑star property. This full‑time, on‑site role offers competitive pay and a meaningful contribution to a Galway icon.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management or a senior maintenance role
• Strong technical knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Hospitality industry experience is highly desirable
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage

The Hardiman Hotel, a landmark four-star hotel located in the heart of Galway city, is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our management team.

This full-time, on-site role is responsible for maintaining the hotel's historic fabric, modern facilities, and guest areas to the highest operational and safety standards.
