Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a prestigious hotel in County Offaly, Ireland, to recruit a Wedding and Events Coordinator. You will manage enquiries from lead to bookings, conduct site visits, prepare proposals and guides clients through planning, including menus, décor, layouts, and timelines.

You will coordinate with multiple hotel departments and suppliers, track deposits and payments, and seek upsell opportunities to boost revenue. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in weddings, events, or hospitality (preferably in a 4-star hotel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a sales-driven, customer-focused approach.
• High attention to detail and ability to stay proactive under pressure.
• Familiarity with hotel/event management systems (e.g. Hotsoft) and willingness to work evenings/weekends.
• Hospitality or event management qualification and knowledge of Irish wedding traditions/suppliers desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage wedding and event enquiries from initial contact to final execution, converting leads into confirmed bookings with exceptional service.
• Conduct site visits, prepare proposals/contracts/function sheets, and guide clients through event planning including menus, décor, layouts, and timelines.
• Coordinate with hotel departments and external suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of weddings, conferences, and events.
• Track deposits, contracts, and payments while identifying upsell opportunities to enhance client experience and revenue.
• Represent the hotel at wedding fairs, trade shows, and client meetings while monitoring local market trends.
