Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny is seeking an Experienced Reservations Agent to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction by handling guest reservations under the direction of the Revenue Manager.

You must be fully flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. The role requires prior reservations experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a busy team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Reservations role.
• Positive outlook with hospitality focus.
• Customer-facing experience essential.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Good computer literacy and systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone, email and online reservations promptly and professionally.
• Maximise room sales and revenue through upselling of hotel services and packages.
• Input, update and manage guest bookings in the reservation system.
• Liaise with front office, sales and housekeeping to ensure smooth stays.
• Maintain knowledge of room types, facilities and local attractions.
• Assist with group bookings and corporate accounts as required.
