Job summary

Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. The role requires experience in a busy bar, preferably in a hospitality setting, and offers the chance to work across our three bar outlets.

You will prepare and serve beverages, recommend wines and cocktails, upsell to guests, and maintain friendly, professional service. Fluent English and flexibility to work evenings and weekends are essential, with eligibility to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a busy bar environment is required.
• Previous experience in a high volume and fast paced environment.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Must be fully flexible to work a range of shifts to include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• To prepare and serve a range of beverages & cocktails, delivering excellent service to guests.
• Be knowledgeable about beverages, wine and cocktails and provide recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Up-sell and maximise sales revenue wherever possible.
• Work in any of the hotel’s three bar outlets as required.

To be eligible for this role you must have experience working in a busy bar preferably in a Hospitality Setting, Any applicants without previous bar experience will not be considered for this role.

• To prepare and serve a range of different beverages & cocktails, while providing excellent service to our guests.
• Ensure a good knowledge of beverages, wine and cocktails & be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• To work in any of the hotels three bar outlets as required
