Job summary

Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel, part of Minor Hotels, is seeking a Night Porter to join the Front Office team in Dublin. You will perform night-shift duties, assist with room service, and support guest requests while maintaining high standards of luxury and service.

The role requires flexibility and a professional, confident approach to guest interactions, with responsibilities extending to safety procedures, wake-up calls, and coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless

Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance) and ensure the Night Porter checklist is fully completed by the end of the shift
• Carry out fire walks in accordance with night operation and guest safety in mind and to be fully conversant with the fire procedures for the whole hotel including assistance in the fire evacuation as directed by the night manager
• Carry out cleaning duties as requested by the night manager (vacuuming, buffing and cleaning all public areas e.g. lobby, bar, restaurant and public toilets)
• Take and carry out room service orders. Preparation of food and beverages to all guests during the night, to their bedrooms or in lobby areas
• Liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by management
• To deliver all guests newspapers in the morning
• To supply additional items to guest bedrooms eg. Cots, pillows, etc.
• Organise onward transportation for the guests and to carry guests luggage to and from bedrooms
• Valet park and retrieve guest cars from car park
• To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of new products and new procedures
• To be aware of menu updates
• Wake up calls when required
• To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.
