Job summary

The Johnstown Estate is seeking an experienced Night Manager to oversee all night operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and integrity of nightly financial procedures. This role is based at a luxury Irish property and leads the night team as the senior on-duty manager.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in a supervisory role within a 4- or 5-star hotel, strong PMS and front office knowledge, and a calm, proactive leadership style.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Strong working knowledge of front office operations, PMS usage, and night audit processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

• Night Operations: Manage the hotel overnight, ensuring all departments function smoothly and safely.
• Night Audit & Financial Controls: Complete nightly revenue audits and reconcile transactions across all hotel outlets.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and support the night team; ensure thorough shift handovers.
• Safety & Security: Monitor and enforce hotel security procedures throughout the night.
