Job summary

DSV in Naas, Co. Kildare, is seeking an Operations Assistant to support our busy logistics operation. The role involves coordinating inbound shipments, maintaining records, and assisting teams to meet customer requirements in a compliant, safe manner.

You will handle data transfer between transport systems, book shipments, and communicate effectively with customers and internal partners as part of a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30) with occasional Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, logistics, transport or operational support roles.
• Ability to work in a target-driven team environment.
• Self-motivated with drive and initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Customer-focused approach with high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound shipments with customers, transport providers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and database information for traceability.
• Support operational teams with customer-focused solutions.
• Receive, process and transfer data between transport management systems.
• Book shipments with customers.
• Communicate with customers and operations teams to resolve queries.
• Monitor shipments through to completion.
