Job summary

DSV in Naas, Co. Kildare, is seeking an Operations Assistant to support our busy logistics operation. The role involves coordinating inbound shipments, maintaining records, and assisting teams to meet customer requirements in a compliant, safe manner.

You will handle data transfer between transport systems, book shipments, and communicate effectively with customers and internal partners as part of a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30) with occasional Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, logistics, transport or operational support roles.
• Ability to work in a target-driven team environment.
• Self-motivated with drive and initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Customer-focused approach with high service standards.

Responsibilities

Operations Assistant

Naas, Kildare

Mon-Fri 09.00-17.30, 37.5 hours per week -Sat cover when needed

To meet customers' requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinate inbound shipments with Customers, transport providers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and database information to ensure full traceability.
• Support operational teams with customer-focused solutions.
• Receive, process data and transfer data between transport management systems.
• Book shipments with Customers.
• Communicate efficiently with customers and operations team & Partners to resolve queries
• Manage / monitor shipments until completion

About You

• Experience in a customer service, logistics, transport or operational support role
• Enjoy working in a target-driven team environment.
• Be self-motivated with drive and initiative.
• Be proficient in current software options - Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Good verbal, written communication and listening skills.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high service standards.
