Job summary

GlobeTech in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Localisation QA Engineer to ensure quality across consumer electronics software products. You will work with cross-functional teams including QA, engineering, and translators to deliver world-class localised software.

The role focuses on testing, automation planning, and designing test plans; onsite in Cork with relocation support for the right candidate; six-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Native speaker with deep knowledge of linguistics.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a team player.
• Experience in software localisation/internationalisation.
• Self-driven with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform localisation testing on software, print documents, help and hardware items.
• Report issues using internal tools with pertinent information and suggestions and follow the solution process to its completion.
• Analyse international functionality issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with international QA centers, engineering teams, translators and project managers.
• Carry out other duties relevant to the role.
• Design, implement and organise manual test plans.
• Create, maintain and carry out automated test procedures.
• Code software test automation in Swift, ObjC, Python and Ruby.
• Carry out technical software reviews to assess automation opportunities.
