Job summary

Kids Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to oversee our Afterschool Care services across Leinster. This Leinster-based role requires regular travel between centres and provides leadership and operational support across a portfolio of services.

You will work closely with Centre Managers to deliver high-quality care, safeguarding, and regulatory standards while supporting teams to succeed in a dynamic, varied environment.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within the childcare, education, or a related sector.
• A minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education or a related discipline.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child welfare, and regulatory requirements.
• A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to support multiple teams across different locations.
• A full, clean driving licence and access to your own car.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Fluency in Irish is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple Afterschool Care services across Leinster.
• Supporting, coaching, and mentoring Centre Managers and their teams.
• Monitoring service quality and ensuring centres maintain Kids Inc.'s high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.
• Supporting Centre Managers with operational challenges and day-to-day service delivery.
• Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues.
• Supporting recruitment and team development across your centres.
• Carrying out regular centre visits and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive culture across all services.
