Job summary

Kids Inc. is seeking a Floating Centre Manager to support our Afterschool services across Leinster. Based Leinster-wide, you will manage day-to-day operations at one centre while providing cover at others as needed.

Regular travel between centres is required, so a full driving licence and access to your own car are essential. You will lead teams, organise weekly programmes, and ensure a high standard of care for children.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' professional experience working with children.
• Experience in management or supervisory roles in childcare/education settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience training or mentoring team members.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own car.

We are currently recruiting a Floating Centre Manager to support our Afterschool services across Leinster.

Location

This is a Leinster-based role, supporting different Kids Inc. services across the region. You will work at one centre at a time, providing management cover and support where needed. Regular travel between centres is required, so a full driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

About The Role

Our Afterschool programmes provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging home-from-home environment where children can relax, complete their homework, and take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities at the end of the school day. As a Floating Centre Manager, you will provide management cover and support across different Afterschool services. You may step into a Centre Manager role when a manager is absent, support a centre during busy periods, or provide additional management support where needed. You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service while you are there, leading the team and ensuring children receive a high standard of care. Every day will be different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, meeting new teams, and working across different locations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and creative development
• Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children
• Completing administration and record keeping as required
• Supporting different centres and teams across Leinster as needed

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working with children
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a childcare, educational, or related setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting, training, or mentoring team members
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A relevant childcare or teaching qualification is desirable
• Full, clean driving licence and access to your own car
• Flexible and comfortable working across different locations
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks
