Job summary

Kids Inc. in Dublin 18 is seeking a Part-Time Term-Time Manager to oversee our Afterschool service for the 2026/2027 school term. You will lead daily operations, coach staff, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children after the school day.

The role requires 3 years in childcare, supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Garda Vetting and references are required; salary is hourly with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working with children.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a childcare, educational, or related setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting, training, or mentoring team members.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A relevant childcare or teaching qualification is desirable.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day operation of the Afterschool service, including administration and record keeping.
• Organising weekly programmes and activities in line with company guidelines.
• Leading, supporting, and motivating team members to deliver a high-quality service.
• Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff are informed of weekly plans.
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and creative development.
• Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, engaging environment for all children.
