Job summary

Kids Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Term-Time Centre Manager in Dublin 18 to oversee the Afterschool service during the 2026/2027 term. The role focuses on safe, engaging activities and daily operations after school hours, ensuring a warm, home-from-home environment for children.

You will lead staff, coordinate weekly activities, and support children’s holistic development while maintaining program standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working with children.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in childcare or related setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Garda Vetting and references required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Afterschool service, including administration and record keeping.
• Organise weekly programmes and activities in line with company guidelines.
• Lead, support, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality service.
• Delegate responsibilities and ensure staff are informed of weekly plans and expectations.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and creative development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.

We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Term-Time Manager to join our service in Dublin 18 for the 2026/2027 school term.

About The Role

Our Afterschool programme provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging home-from-home environment where children can relax, complete their homework, and take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities at the end of the school day.

As a Centre Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operation of the service, supporting your team, and ensuring children receive the highest standard of care in a positive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the day-to-day operation of the Afterschool service, including administration and record keeping
• Organising weekly programmes and activities in line with company guidelines
• Leading, supporting, and motivating team members to deliver a high-quality service
• Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff are fully informed of weekly plans and expectations
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and creative development
• Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working with children
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a childcare, educational, or related setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting, training, or mentoring team members
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A relevant childcare or teaching qualification is desirable
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks
