Job summary

Crown in Roundwood, County Wicklow, Ireland, is hiring a Learning & Development Officer to own the day-to-day L&D function. This hybrid role includes regular travel to project sites across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe to roll out development plans and training initiatives.

You will work with the HR Manager and site managers to identify learning needs, create practical plans, maintain training records and monitor progress, helping our people grow as Crown expands.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learning & Development, Training or HR roles.
• Experience identifying learning needs and developing plans.
• Experience coordinating training activities and programmes.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Drive Learning & Development: Identify skills gaps and establish development priorities.
• Implement Development Plans: Visit project sites to roll out learning plans.
• Plan for Growth: Develop annual L&D plans and training calendars.
• Coordinate Training: Organise internal and external training and bookings.
• Manage Training & Compliance: Maintain training records and renewals.
• Track Progress & Results: Monitor plans, costs and feedback with HR systems.
• Partner with Managers: Align development needs and follow through actions.
• Support Employee Development: Contribute to onboarding and apprenticeship programmes.
• Continuously Improve: Research new learning solutions and effectiveness.
