Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead SRE to own infrastructure reliability across core Payments Network services. You will drive health, performance, monitoring, and capacity, partner with product teams, and champion unified telemetry with dashboards for rapid RCA and improved service quality.

Bring 5–10 years in SRE/operations, strong tools experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry), and a track record of implementing scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in SRE or related ops, including 3+ years with large-scale SaaS or fintech platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with end-to-end infra focus.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry).

Responsibilities

• Lead assessments of infrastructure health, performance, monitoring, alerting and capacity.
• Champion observability; design dashboards and unify telemetry for RCA.
• Guide incident reviews; drive RCA and long-term remediation actions.
• Leverage automation to improve MTTA/MTTD and enable self-healing where possible.
• Collaborate with product/dev teams to define SLIs/SLOs and reliability goals.
