Job summary

Poulet Vous in Cork City at the Marina Market is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our growing team and help us serve fresh scratch-made food in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee inventory, train new staff, streamline kitchen processes, help develop the menu, enforce cleaning standards, monitor costs, and support the Head Chef with problem solving, with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Head chef: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
• Providing training to new staff to facilitate quick acclimation
• Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
• To help develop and maintain the menu
• Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
• Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
• Assist the Head Chef in training and problem solving.
