Job summary

Mastercard's Payments Network SRE team ensures runtime availability for critical payment systems with 24/7 operations. You will own end-to-end reliability, collaborate across networking and infrastructure, and drive capacity planning and performance improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven RCA, proactive issue detection, and on-call responsibilities to safeguard platform resilience and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in an SRE or related operations role, including 3+ years in ecommerce, financial services, or large-scale SaaS.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities for complex production environments.
• Hands-on with observability and monitoring tools and proactive issue detection.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessments of infrastructure health, performance, monitoring, alerting, and capacity.
• Champion observability and design dashboards for RCA and performance insights.
• Conduct regular incident reviews and guide remediation strategies.
• Leverage automation and IaC to improve reliability and reduce MTTR.
• Collaborate with product and development to meet scalability and security requirements.
