Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Lead, Quality Engineer to build and scale a high-performing quality team in a modern, microservices environment. You will mentor engineers, drive test automation, and own quality strategy across the payments platform.

You will lead in-sprint testing, design robust frameworks, and monitor KPIs while collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Experience in CI/CD, automation tooling, and testing leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mentoring test engineers and collaborating with development teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, microservices, and modern testing methodologies.
• Hands-on with Karate, Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end test automation strategy, covering NFRs like performance and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and foster ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Design robust testing frameworks and monitor quality KPIs.
• Collaborate with Product, Designers, and Engineers to ensure quality user experiences.
