Job summary

Fota Island Resort in Ireland seeks an ambitious Food & Beverage professional to lead the Conference and Banqueting function across the resort. Working with the Resort F&B Manager, you will create an exceptional guest experience through meticulous organisation, team leadership and hands-on service.

The ideal candidate has extensive wedding and event management experience, strong F&B knowledge, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in wedding and event management.
• Excellent knowledge of Food & Beverage (including wine).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to influence change.
• Extensive experience in F&B staff training, knowledge and skills, grooming, customer service and service etiquette.
• Experience with report writing, e-mailing, training plans, administration, table plans, menus, ordering.
• Strong leadership to manage and motivate the team to high performance and customer service.
• Immaculate grooming and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily Conference and Banqueting operations across the resort.
• Generate new ideas for service and products to maintain competitiveness and revenue.
• Set up of all Meeting and Function suites with standards of food, beverage and service.
• Review communications (BEOs) to determine staffing and room/station assignments.
• Communicate with kitchen and other departments during service.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all meeting and function spaces.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to deliver high service levels.
• Organise weekly briefings with the Conference and Banqueting team and Beverage Supervisors.
