Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise, Ireland, is seeking a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to lead the team across conferences, meetings, weddings, banquets and private dining, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will coach, mentor and schedule staff, maintain the brand standards, and collaborate with Sales, Kitchen and Front Office to ensure flawless events while upholding our values of care, energy and doing the right thing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience within hospitality, food & beverage, events or banqueting.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional guest service throughout all conferences, meetings, weddings and banqueting events.
• Ensure all guests receive a warm, professional and personalised experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve issues before they impact the guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly, professionally and effectively.
• Build positive relationships with repeat corporate clients, wedding couples and event organisers.
• Ensure service standards consistently reflect the Midlands Park Hotel brand and mission.
• Review function sheets, event orders and schedules to ensure all event requirements are understood and executed correctly.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews.
• Ensure rooms are set up accurately and efficiently according to client requirements.
• Monitor event timelines and coordinate service delivery to ensure seamless execution.
• Liaise with Sales, Kitchen, Front Office, Accommodation and Maintenance departments to deliver successful events.
• Ensure all conference rooms, banqueting suites and event spaces are maintained to the highest presentation standards.
