Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Ireland is seeking a capable Laboratory Manager to lead the Cork ISO17025 accredited laboratory. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure timely sample processing, uphold safety, quality, and customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, implement training, coordinate audits, and strengthen technical capabilities to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team in an ISO17025 accredited commercial laboratory setting.
• Organic, inorganic technical and operational experience in commercial ISO 17025 environment.
• At least 5 years’ people management experience in a commercial laboratory.
• Preferably 10 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory with hands on analytical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Cork Environment Testing ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
• Ensure samples are processed on time, safely, and to the right quality.
• Provide leadership, training and mentoring to build a high-performing team.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with ISO17025 INAB and regulatory requirements.
• Drive improvements in quality systems and lab KPIs (HSE, productivity, service delivery).
