Job summary

Fallon & Byrne in Dublin is seeking a Full Time Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen production team. You will support the preparation and production of a range of food products for our Foodhall, including sandwiches and prepared meals.

You will work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor and team, receive training, and have opportunities to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities as your experience grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, food production, catering, hospitality, or food service is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to follow recipes, preparation methods and quality standards.
• Willingness to learn new processes, procedures and techniques.
• Good teamwork and clear, respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and production of sandwiches, prepared meals and other food items.
• Follow recipes, preparation methods, instructions and quality standards.
• Support different areas of food preparation and production as needed.
• Adhere to HACCP, food safety, allergen management, hygiene and stock rotation procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized and hygienic work areas and equipment.
• Work efficiently during busy production periods while maintaining safety and quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate production needs to supervisors.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling and safe use of equipment.
• Assist with stock, storage, packaging, labeling and minimizing food waste.
• Attend relevant training and carry out other duties as required.
