Job summary

The Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team by the River Slaney in Co. Wexford.

You will help maintain cleanliness, support chefs, and ensure hygiene standards are met in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include dishwashing, basic food prep assistance, waste disposal, and helping with deliveries, all while following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash dishes and equipment.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliableKitchen Porterto join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring hygiene and health standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist in the basic preparation of food as required by chefs.
• Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are kept clean and organised.
• Handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling responsibly.
• Assist with unloading and storing deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support the kitchen team with any additional duties as required.
• Participate in team training sessions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices.
